The Cresap Rifle Club proudly sponsors a Jr. Rifle Team composed of youth between the ages of 10 and 18. As part of its mission, the Cresap Rifle Club develops young shooters into expert marksman with a respect and appreciation for the shooting sports. The team is focused on developing both sporter class as well as precision class competition. This includes both air rifle (.177 cal) and rimfire (.22 cal) competition.
The Jr. team holds weekly practices at the club on Sunday afternoons, 3:30 to 7:30 in the winter months (indoors) and 3:30 to 5:30 in the Spring, Summer, and Fall on the outdoor range. The team regularly competes in CMP sanctioned local events and maintains its goal to prepare shooters to compete in national level competitions. As identified we will also participate in NRA competitions.
As you can imagine this program is very popular with young people. Due to equipment and range space we currently maintain a roster of 8 members on the team.
